Primarily
FTP server: http://upload.borsen.dk
Username: annonce
Password: Notified upon contacting produktion@borsen.dk
Secondarily
E-mail: produktion@borsen.dk

Placing of orders
Book your campaign by telephone or e-mail:
Tel.: +45 31 74 39 92
E-mail: brands@borsen.dk
It should be clearly stated where and when the campaign is to be executed, and how and from where the material will be submitted (company name, address, telephone number, contact person).
Print-ready material
Print-ready advertising material should be submitted as a PDF file, minimum version 1.6. The correct PDF settings for Indesign can be downloaded via borsen.dk/brands. Advertising material may be submitted with both CMYK and RGB photos.
CMYK: We recommend using the colour profile ISOnewspaper26v4 and converting photos in Photoshop, which allows you to check that the conversion is as required. CMYK colour conversion, especially for the newspaper, requires experience to achieve the best results. If you do not have this experience, we recommend that you submit images in RGB as described below.
RGB: We recommend using the Adobe RGB (1998) ICC Profile.
Colour conversion: RGB, LAB, Pantone and other non-printable colours are automatically converted to the correct CMYK at the risk and responsibility of the advertiser.
Format: If the advertisement size diverges from the format which was ordered, we reserve the right to adjust the size, including non-proportionally.
Hyperlink: It is possible to include hyperlinks in your advertising material, thereby making your advertisement clickable in the e-newspaper. Only send one piece of material; the same material will be used for both the printed newspaper and the e-newspaper. See our guidelines on hyperlinks under “Guide to clickable advertisements”.
Profiles
If you require profiles to produce newspaper advertisements, they can be downloaded here:
Submission of elements for layout
Texts, images, logos and graphical elements should be submitted together before the start of the job. Layout ideas and colour requirements should be sent together with the content for the advertisement.
In order to achieve satisfactory print quality, we recommend that:
Texts should be submitted in Word.
Images should be sent in TIF, EPS or JPG format – minimum 200 dpi.
Bitmap graphics should be minimum 600 dpi.
Logos and graphics should be submitted as vector graphics, e.g. in Illustrator.
Colour requirements should be specified as CMYK, RGB or Pantone codes.
Colours
In order to achieve the best possible print results, the following guidelines are relevant:
- We print in four colours – CMYK.
- Consideration should be given to the dot spread that occurs during printing. In practice, dot spread means that all colours become darker on the paper than the output on your screen or from your printer. For photos, we recommend increasing the contrast and lightening intermediate tones to ensure the best print results. See point 4 below regarding colour conversion.
- Font sizes below 10 point should only be used if the colour is black on a very light background. For negative text, a minimum point size of 10 and a bold grotesque-type font such as Helvetica should be chosen. For text in colours other than black, we recommend a minimum point size of 16. This will guarantee good readability in the event of misregistration within the printing machine’s tolerance, as described under “Complaints”.
- Due to the newsprint’s absorbency, we print with maximum 190% colour. See “Print-ready material” for instructions on correct colour profiles. Before printing, we carry out a UCR optimisation on all advertisements in which the colour content in the PDF file is reduced to maximum 190%. This colour reduction cannot be avoided.
- Further information and industry standards for newspaper production can be found at https://www.ddpff.dk/.
Column widths
Advertising material should be submitted in certain regular formats, which can be found under “Standard formats”.
Complaints
Complaints relating to e.g. misregistration or inking may be rejected if the advertising material submitted deviates from Børsen’s technical specifications and recommendations. The printing machine’s tolerance for misregistration is ±0.3 mm. Inking may differ across a print run. Børsen checks the inking every 5,000 newspapers.

For Pleasure, Money & Private Finance and The World
Book your campaign by telephone or e-mail:
Tel.: +45 31 74 39 92
E-mail: brands@borsen.dk
It should be clearly stated where and when the campaign is to be executed, and how and from where the material will be submitted (company name, address, telephone number, contact person).
Print-ready material
Print-ready advertising material should be submitted as a CMYK-separated PDF file, minimum version 1.6. The correct ICC colour profile and PDF settings for Indesign can be downloaded via borsen.dk/brands.
Due to the newsprint’s absorbency, we print with maximum 300% colour. We recommend that photos should be converted in Photoshop with the colour profile ISOcoated_v2_eci.icc.
If a colour profile is used with more than 300% colour, we will carry out a UCR optimisation on all photos so that the maximum colour content in the PDF file does not exceed 300%. This optimisation cannot be avoided.
The colour profile ISO-coated_v2_eci.icc can be downloaded via borsen.dk/brands. If the advertisement size deviates from the format which has been ordered, we reserve the right to adjust the size.
Non-CMTK colour spaces are automatically converted at the risk and responsibility of the advertiser. If material is submitted with settings other than the above PDF standard, Børsen may refuse to entertain complaints.

Submission of elements for layout
Texts should be submitted in Word or directly in an e-mail. B&W or 4-colour photos should be submitted with minimum resolution 300 dpi in TIF, EPS or JPG format. Note, however, that the bitmap minimum is 1,200 dpi. Logos and graphics should be submitted as vector graphics, e.g. in Illustrator.
Complaints
Complaints relating to errors in inserted advertisements must be submitted immediately to be received by Børsen at the latest five days after the advertisement is inserted. If an advertisement is printed several times with the same error without Børsen receiving any complaint, any refund will only be paid for the first insertion.

Inserts
Formats and paper quality
Generally, we only approve stapled inserts in portrait format with no stick-ins such as product samples or coupons and with a maximum weight of 300 g. We recommend a maximum of 270 x 395 mm (width x height). A format of 280 x 395 mm (width x height) can be accepted, but this entails a risk that the insert’s edges may get frayed, for which Børsen cannot assume responsibility.
Magazines with a high-gloss cover are not advisable, as there is a risk that they will slide around in the newspaper and complicate the packing process. If they are submitted without our approval, we cannot guarantee their insertion for the full circulation. Magazines with a glued spine have to be distributed alongside the newspaper, entailing an extra charge for the advertiser.
Formats below A4: Minimum format A5, maximum thickness 1.5 mm
Formats between A4 and 260 x 330 mm: Maximum thickness 2.0 mm
Formats between 260 x 330 mm and tabloid: Maximum thickness 4.0 mm
Loose sheets in all above formats: Printed on minimum 100 g paper
The stated maximum thicknesses are based on a single product measured at the spine without pressure.
Inserts which diverge from the above specifications in format, weight or thickness may be enclosed with/distributed outside the newspaper. Always ask for a quote from your advertising consultant.
Dummies/paper samples
In order to ensure correct insertion, Børsen must – no later than 14 days before the day of insertion – be provided with three full-format dummies/paper samples in final paper quality. If Børsen does not receive these dummies/paper samples, no guarantee of insertion can be given. A dummy is a blank version of a planned print item in the correct paper type and weight. The dummy may also comprise a similar print item that is trimmed to the correct format. If you require a glossy cover for your magazine, you should submit a sample of the cover for assessment and approval of any high-glass UV lacquer or similar treatment.
Printing of inserts
If required, Børsen can provide you with a contact for printing your inserts. Please contact production manager Lars Hesselbjerg Asskildt on +45 72 42 31 43.
Deadline and cancellation
Inserts should always be booked well in advance because Børsen only carries a maximum of two inserts per publication day. Cancellation of inserts later than seven working days before the booked insertion day will be charged at 50% of the insertion price.
