High impact formats on borsen.dk

High impact formats

On borsen.dk you will be able to run the three high impact formats topscroll, midscroll and megabanner.  The two scroll-formats are running on borsen.dk with the help of our tech partner Adnami.

The scroll-formats gives the advertiser the ability to integrate eye catching and beautiful visual elements in a wide format that fills the entire width of the screen. The megabanner also gives you a lot of creative freedom to design a larger banner – although the size of the megabanner is not as large as the scroll-formats but it still comes with a great performance.

The high impact formats leads to a great visibility of your brand or message. When you design the scroll-formats it is crucial to comply with the given specs and test your material by uploading your material on Adnamis creative validation test pages. You will find links for this below – make sure to follow the right link to make sure that your banner will be visible on all screen sizes. As with our standard formats it is also possible to make use of jpg, png, gif and html5 but for the scroll-formats it is also possible to make use of video – se more info about this below.

Banner formats in the e-newspaper (interstitial and front page banner)

Front page-banner and interstitial

The Børsen e-newspaper is read frequently every week and we offer our advertisers the possibility to to run high impact digital ads in the e-newpaper. The two digital bannerformats that advertisers can run in the e-newspaper is interstitials and the front page banner in the app (kiosk-banner).

The kiosk-banner is shown on the frontpage of the e-newspaper app – to all users that open the app on either a mobile or tablet device.

Interstitials appears at a transition point in the e-newspaper and has a different format than the normal newspaper pages. An interstitial gives you undisturbed attention to your message by going full-screen so that the reader cannot avoid seeing it. The reader has to perform an action to move on in the e-newspaper, giving you an opportunity to show your message to the readers without sharing the attention with other brands.

Banners in the Børsen e-newspaper universe are clickable and can thus drive traffic directly to your website or webshop.

Technical requirements and advice

Technical requirements and advice

The banners must meet the technical requirements set by borsen.dk which means that the banners must comply with the format sizes and file sizes etc. (see under the individual banners)

Note that Børsen uses Google Ad Manager 360 as Ad Server and all online material must be sent to: traffic@borsen.dk

UTM-codes

If you use Google Analytics to monitor how much traffic your campaign generates on your website, we recommend that you use UTM tails on the campaign. This way, you have a greater opportunity to follow the traffic in Google Analytics. UTM tails are placed according to the url you want to drive traffic to. There are many different tools that can help you create utm tails online. We can recommend this tool:

https://ga-dev-tools.web.app/campaign-url-builder/

HTML 5-banners

For the sake of the users, animations in the material must not loop more than three times or contain a long sequence of more than 30 seconds duration. In this connection, it is suggested to make a small delay on the animation startup to ensure that the user’s page is loaded.

HTML5-banners are received as a zipped file. Each banner format must be sent in its own zip file but can contain up to several banner versions.

HTML5-banners are rejected by most types of email programs. Therefore, send all HTML5 banners through a file transfer program such as WeTransfer or similar.

Read more about technical requirements for HTML5-banners here

Test your HTML5 banner here

Video

If streaming/video with sound is used, it is a requirement that the banner is only activated on mouse-over and that there is a one-second delay on the actual activation of the banner. Streaming and sound must thus stop on mouse-out. We recommend that videos do not exceed 40 seconds and that you make sure that the video file does not weigh more than the file sizes specified for all display formats.

SSL

Note that Børsen runs over SSL. Therefore, all scripts must point to https versions. This also includes third-party tags, otherwise the banners cannot be displayed on borsen.dk.

Material deadline

To be sure that we will be able to run your campaign on the date that has been agreed upon – we must have the material at least two working days before the campaign start date.

For advertorials, the deadline for sending material is five working days prior to the campaign start date.

Send all banner material to traffic@borsen.dk.
