After the new agreement with British GlaxoSmithKline the biotechnology company Genmab will need to capture new employees from the Danish pharmaceutical companies. A campaign to win another 40 primarily experienced researchers and developers in the sector may have as result that Novo Nordisk, Lundbeck and other related companies must say goodbye to key employees.
»The agreement entails that we must expand in Denmark and this means that we have to hire more employees. We shall particularly focus on qualified and skilled people who are already experienced in the development of pharmaceutical products,« CEO Lisa M. Drakeman told Børsen’s News Service, BNS.
Genmab employs about 250 people globally, 110 of these in Denmark. 80 per cent of the Danish staff work directly with the development of new drugs. The 40 new experts will thus correspond to an increase of the central staff of researchers by 50 per cent.
»We are working on a list of the people we need. According to the plans Genmab will also grow in other countries, but Genmab will definitely expand in Denmark, CEO Lisa Drakeman told BNS.
