Coloplast 3rd-quarter results in line with expectations

Coloplast, Danish business for intimate healthcare products, has today published its 3rd-quarter results which show a profit margin of 21 per cent against the company’s long-term goal of 20 per cent. A SME Direkt survey among analysts shows that they expected a profit margin of 19.9 per cent for 2010.
The ostomy sales amounted to DKK 1009 million, whereas the analysts had expected sales of DKK 969 million.
»We have every good reason to be happy witht the results. We win market shares and continue to increase our profits, even though we have had high costs this year due to the transfer of production. I am particularly happy about the development in Ostomy where we have increased the growth from 3 per cent to 7 per cent in just one year,« said CEO Lars Rasmussen.
Operating profit amounted to DKK 520 million compared to the analysts’ expectations of DKK 476 million. Net profit for the period amounted to DKK 337 million compared to the expected DKK 323 million.
