More Vestas Turbines to China

Just days after confirming a 36 megawatt order in the same region, Vestas Wind Systems has confirmed that it has received a new order for 74 megawatts of power to a new Chinese project in the Shandong region,
The order is for 37 of the company’sV90-2. 0 megawatt wind turbines, and entails both installation and service. At the customer’s request, details about the projects’ ownership are not being disclosed, Vestas said. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled for fourth quarter of 2010.
Last week, the Danish wind energy giant announced a new order from China’s largest developer of wind energy, Longyuan Power Group, for 18 units of its V80-2.0 MW turbine totaling 36 megawatts.
The new deal is the latest in a series Chinese orders for Vestas and represents the further development of a market it first entered in 1986
