GN Retains Expectations

Communication device manufacturer GN Store Nord came out of the second quarter of 2010 with a decent three percent sales growth compared to Q2 2009. Total EBITA of DKK 113 million was up DKK 111 million compared to Q2 2009. Profits stood at DKK 76 million compared to a loss of DKK three million in the same period in 2009
Revenue from the company’s headset arm, GN Netcom revenue was up DKK 495 million or eight percent. EBITA of DKK 52 million WAS up from DKK 43 million last year.
While growth was flat, revenue from the company’s hearing aid arm, GN ReSound, was the highest since Q4 2008 at DKK 789 million. EBITA was DKK 63 million, up from DKK 54million last year. The mainly positive figures allowed the company to retain its expectations for the whole of the year
”UC [Unified Communications technology] is clearly taking off now, we have increased the revenue from UC enabled products by more than 50 percent compared to Q2 2009 - although from a low base” GN Netcom CEO Mogens Elsberg said in a statement issued today “We are currently expanding our sales and marketing organization in selected areas
in order to capture this attractive opportunity,”
“We expect to grow above the market in the second half of 2010” GN ReSound CEO Lars Viksmoen added.
