North Media A/S has announced a largely positive set of results for the first half of 2010.
The company’s EBIT before special items amounted to DKK 50.2 million for H1 2010 against a loss of DKK 13.4 million in H1 2009. Expectations for the full year’s EBIT have been raised from DKK 55-6 million to DKK 90-110 million
In H1 2010, the group’s revenue was DKK 556.0 million, eight percent up on for H1 2009. This was due largely to improvements in the group’s distribution business, the company said. However, North Media’s online arm performed poorly, and is responsible for write-downs totaling DKK 28 million
North Media was formerly known as the free weekend newspaper Søndagsavisen.
