Denmark’s stock exchange had another bountiful day today, closing at its highest level since September 2008.
Today’s gains were partly driven by heavy trading in pharma company Novo Nordisk. The company’s share price closed up 2.7 percent at 509.50, fueled in part by new figures detailing a large growth in UK’s diabetes care spending.
Denmark’s larger banks continued their recent positive showing. Jyske Bank’s shares rose 1.96 percent to 207.70, Danske Bank closed 1.63 percent higher at 143 and Nordea rose 0.75 percent to 60.20.
Shares in wind power manufacturer Vestas fell 0.95 percent to 282.10 despite the announcement of a new British order earlier today.
The C20 closed up 1.1 per cent at 425.52.
