New order for Vestas

23-07-2010 13:31 Today Vestas received an order for 16 wind turbines – or totally 32 MW – for three projects in Sweden. The order was placed by E.ON Vind Sverige, the company wrote in an announcement. The order is for 16 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine, and it includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines and a two-year service agreement. »It is with great pleasure we announce this order today,« said Klaus Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe.
»E.ON is one of the main players in the energy sector and we are very satisfied with the trust that E.ON has shown in us for these three projects. The V90-2.0 turbine is a model with proven technology and it is perfect for the wind conditions in the southern parts of Sweden.«
The park at Nybro will consist of 10 turbines with a tower height of 12 metres each which means that they will be the tallest Vestas turbines installed in Sweden so far. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to be completed in 2011, and the order will not affect the Vestas group’s expectations for 2010. Direkt/BNS
