First order for the V100 turbine in Vestas Mediterranean

02-07-2010 11:16 Vestas has received an order for 10 units of the new V100-1.8 MW turbine – or totally 18 MW – for a project in Spain. This is Vestas’ first order for the V100 model in that region, Vestas wrote in a press release.
The order has been placed by LDV Sierra de Arcas, and the turbines are going to be installed in a wind power plant in Malaga in the south of Spain. The order comprises wind turbine delivery, assembly, installation and commissioning as well as a ten-year service and availability contract.
»We are very proud to sign this contract for installation of the very first project in Spain – and in the Mediterranean region – with the new V100 platform, a highly efficient wind turbine for sites with low wind,« said Juan Araluce, President of Vestas Mediterranean.
Delivery is scheduled to start during the last quarter of 2010, and the project is expected to be completed at the beginning of 2011. Direkt/BNS
