A local player is now trying to acquire the Australian company Ludowici in competition with FLSmidth. Australian Weir Group has made an offer 10 per cent above FLSmidth’s offer of DKK 1.55 billion. FLS has now three days to respond.
In January FLSmidth announced that it had entered into a Process Agreement with Ludowici, and that the company’s board of directors was recommending the change of owner. But now the Valby company must act quickly in order to secure its expansion in the important Australian mining market.
Australian Weir Group which is manufacturer of mining and oil equipment, has now made an indicative proposal to acquire all of the share capital of Ludowici. Its offer amounts to AUD 7.92 per share corresponding to AUD 294 million (DKK 1.77 billion).
