Novo Nordisk the world’s most sustainable corporation

The Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk has been elected unofficial world champion in clean capitalism.
At the economic summit in Davos, Switzerland, the Danish business has been ranked as the No. 1 firm on the 2012 list of Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations.
The businesses have been thoroughly examined on the basis of many different criteria such as sales and production in relation to environment, but also social factors such as the difference between the salaries of the managers and the employees or the share of women in the top management. CEO Lars Rebien Sørensen, Novo Nordisk, said that the company is very focused on sustainability.
