Record summer for Copenhagen Airport

10-09-2010 14:00 August 2010 was the busiest August in the history of the Copenhagen Airport. Never before have so many passengers travelled through the airport in August, It was also the fourth busiest month ever, the Copenhagen Airport wrote in its monthly traffic statement released today.
A little over 2.1 million passengers used the airport in August. This was a 12.9 per cent year-on-year increase. Domestic traffic increased the number of passengers by 25.1 per cent compared to August 2009. It is thus clear that the Danes are again interested in travelling after the financial crisis.

»This summer was the busiest in the 85 years of the airport’s history. The strong growth during the summer proved that the Danes are again interested in travelling after the financial crisis,« said Carsen Nørland, VP, Sales, Copenhagen Airport.
