Vestas signs giant order

Vestas has signed a giant order for delivery of 400 MW in 2011-2014. The order includes an option for an addtional 1,000 MW. This appears of an announcement by the company, which neither informs of the name of the company which has placed the order nor the type of turbine involved.
The contract comprises supply, installation, commissioning and a two- to ten-year service agreement.
After a highly competitive process, Vestas has been selected as the preferred supplier on the grounds of its undisputable global reach combined with a strong local presence, Vestas wrote in its announcement .
