Despite boasting record earnings in 2009, a majority stake in Copenhagen’s Bella Centre is readily available for a new investor, writes business.dk
The center, which benefits from its proximity to a metro station and the Malmo fixed link, is currently owned by Michael Kaa Andersen’s indebted PROARK group and a number of minority shareholders. While half the centre’s shares are owned by PROARK, smaller stakes are held by a variety of Danish businessmen and companies, all of whom are thought to be suffering from cash flow problems to a greater or lesser degree.
International conferences such as COP15 at the adjacent conference center made 2009 Bella Centre’s most profitable year to date. Unfortunately, its profits have not been reflected in its share price, which has led to a number of investors seeking to offload their shares.
" t is obviously attractive to a new owner with capital strength who would like to secure a majority stake in the company, " Bella Centre Director Arne Bang Mikkelsen told business.dk.
