Bavarian maintains 2010 expectations

09-03-2010 09:59 The industrial biotechnology company Bavarian Nordic maintains its 2010 expectations for revenue in the region of DKK 475 million and a loss before taxes in the region of DKK 250 million.
Net free cash and cash equivalents are expected to be approx. DKK 225-275 million at the end of 2010, the company wrote in its annual report for 2009.
»Bavarian Nordic expects to deliver and invoice 4-5 million doses of Imvamune to the US authorities, which is the primary source of revenue, which furthermore derives from the ongoing RFP-2 contract and the RFP contract for freeze-dried Imvamune,« the company wrote.

A pre-tax loss of DKK 331 million was recorded for the year, while the company had expcted a loss of DKK 325 million. In 2008 the loss amounted to DKK 183 million.
The result after taxes was a loss of DKK 266 million compared to a loss of DKK 150 million in 2008.

Bavarian Nordic generated revenue of DKK 75 million in 2009 compared to DKK 209 million in 2008. Bavarian had expected revenue of precisely DKK 75 million.
